Don't remmeber, but I'd guess so.

No. Rules use burbs, burbs are assigned to interfaces.

Of course. as soon as you change your internal connection
from untagged to VLAN X, you lose all connectivity.

Works like a charm, you just have to plan ahead a bit.
Possibly connect your GUI from the outside  or a service
burb, so you will not lock yourself out.
